'The Light' tells the true life story of the world renowned teacher and guru Swami Vivekananda. With millions of followers around the world the film follows his journey from a restless child to a mature man who sacrificed all his material possessions in search of God including some never before told stories. He was also a key figure in the introduction of Indian philosophies and Yoga to the western world.
In America Vivekananda became India's spiritual ambassador. His world famous speech at the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago in 1893 was cemented into Chicago’s history in 1995 when a section of Michigan Avenue, one of the most prominent streets in downtown Chicago, was formally renamed "Swami Vivekananda Way".
Fick the Switch is handling all English language market sales and marketing and the film will release in India during Swami Vivekananda’s 150th birthday celebrations in January 2013.
